Vinyl Quality and Industry Standards
At SCS Unlimited, we use premium, high-performance vinyl specifically engineered for the extreme conditions of powersports.
Premium Materials
We utilize industry-standard, multi-layered vinyl (typically 21 mil thick including laminate) which is designed for conformability over complex curves.
The vinyl features a high-tack, pressure-activated adhesive. This technology is the gold standard in the wrap industry because it allows for repositioning during install but creates a permanent bond once firm pressure and heat are applied.

Adhesion Troubleshooting
Stickers falling off or lifting overnight usually points to a surface energy issue rather than a defect in the adhesive.
Even if you cleaned your machine with isopropyl alcohol, previous use of silicone-based cleaners (like Maxima SC1 or other "new bike in a can" sprays) can cause major issues.
For the adhesive to set properly, both the shop and the machine's surface need to be at room temperature (ideally 65°F–75°F). If the plastic was cold during the install, or if the shop temperature dropped significantly overnight, the adhesive may not have reached its full chemical bond strength.
